Kotomak teas are delicious, healthy, and refreshing. Our loose leaf teas have phenomenal flavor and we procure them from small farms that put great care into their product. Loose leaf teas brewed in teapots or our stainless steel Springsteeps are vastly superior to teabags. Almost all modern teabags are made of plastics and other industrial products (nylon, polyethylene, cellulose mesh, PLA, polypropylene) that leach millions to billions of microplastics into every cup of tea. Loose leaf tea also retains its flavor and stays fresher for longer than the crushed tea in teabags.
Because the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) predominantly grows in Southeast Asia, teas from some countries and regions are often contaminated with industrial and environmental pollution. Worldwide there is a lack of guidance and standards for a variety of contamination in tea. At Kotomak we set our own strict standards and we test every harvest. As a final touch we package our tea in American made, hermetically sealed steel cans so that our tea stays fresh until opened. Our tea cans are 100% recyclable and plastic free. We aim to bring you the best cup of tea we possibly can.
